I don't want G+ I have no need for it.. other than the force feeding of it to properly use my youtube account, you shouldn't force a product, linking to G+ should be a choice.. I mean we already needed a google account.. and as youtube now being a google app..( retarded) I can see needing a google account.. but this goes too far.. new gal or so called innovative,, so what,, don't force a new product on the users of another service, who don't want it

Re: The 5 Best Halifax Clothing Boutiques

Hi there, thank you so much for this great blog post! I was looking for store located in Halifax were I can possibly propose my Montreal designs. I had so many clients from Halifax at my Old Montreal location saying that they really wanted to have Nu.i by Vickie clothing to buy. Thank you thank you! My hope is that the OPEN discussion continues. My hope is that our true shared history will be taught in all of our schools, and the Canadians are flooded with knowledge on these topics. Those racists comments, need to be addressed, with facts but then ignored. Knowledge is power and though most Canadians are uniformed on aboriginal issues, this does not mean many are unwilling to listen & learn. With the knowledge coming to light across Canada that our PMO office is paying hundreds of commentators and posters on ALL the social sites, articles & media discussion boards to further their agenda, whatever that might be at the time & regarding many topics. I think, we all need to ask ourselves when reading "views" is there an agenda hidden in these remarks that we read, and who & what is served from that agenda. My hope is that people will keep engaging, and keep the follow of information going back and forth. OPEN dialog, when factually driven is the antidote to propaganda, check sources & just keep the lines of communication civil & open.... Thanks for the article.

Re: Why Final Fantasy VI stands the test of time.

Well I think we have differing opinions here, but share one very important one. Final Fantasy VI was easily one of the best and most unsung titles of the video game industry. The story telling implemented is truly one of the most enjoyable I have experienced, while I think some of the characters were victim to poor translations *Cough*Terra*Cough* (I've only ever played 'III' AKA the SNES version), I do still believe some of them to be my favorite of all time. Mostly Kefka and Edgar.

When I played the game though the main message I took away from it is that hope is priceless and empowering. I never thought it to be anything related to nature or the planet that sounds more up FFVII's alley. I mean (SPOILERS!! SERIOUS SPOILERS!) when you finally go up against Kefka the world is in shambles, countless people have died meaningless deaths, there is no place that is safe, the average person has no idea if they are going to live to see another day, yet here is this group of people who still fight this unimaginable power of gods. They almost have no other option to fight, yet they do so for admirable reasons and it's so wonderfully done and all of it is believable (except Umaro and Gogo... ^^;).

(Spoiler free paragraph below)

And that is what I love about Kefka. To me he symbolized all hardship and evil in the world. He killed because he hated. No more no less. He didn't hate just you, or your party, or the world, he merely hated and because of that he wanted to destroy it all. I see Kefka when I hear about war, massacre shootings, meaningless loss of life. To me Kefka was all that was unfair in this world.

(Spoilers below)

When the party finally goes to his mighty fortress, battles the goddesses that control magic themselves, only then does your party fight Kefka in this glorious battle that represents all life in death death Hell, purgatory, and Heaven. After defeating him then your party returns to the real world. There is no magic spell that magically makes things okay, just because the villain is dead there is still unimaginable damage. Your party parts ways after this fight to go back to the things they thought worth it to protect in a broken world, but one message was clear to me all throughout that. That it was all going to be okay. And the greater moral I took from that? If you fight for what you believe in then it will all work out. It might be unfathomable, mind-numbing pain that happens to you, but life will never be unrecoverable.

Anyway. It's still a fabulous game and I'm surprised to see that you took what you did from it but I think that makes it all the better. It's all open to interpretation :)

Re: Popular culture and videogames: why I’m a cool kid now

"Within this generation however things have changed for video games in a big way" Nintendo just turned 27 today, so I would agree that yes, things have changed a lot for gaming in the last generation.

Re: Popular culture and videogames: why I’m a cool kid now

Nice article (although the ESPN tag may have been a bit much), but what does this mean? The people who admire Lisbeth admire her because she doesn't care about fashion shit like this- she's a loner and stands for pretty much the opposite of picking up 'thrift store' 'make your own ratty t-shirt' tips- we admire her because she is a breath of fresh air among media women who are all about such superficial priorities, and an individual.

Re: Careers

Hi Kate, we just sent you an email!

Re: Careers

Hey Dayumn, It says here on your website that you don't have any editing jobs open currently... however Kijiji Halifax says otherwise!
